I Knew that Star Wars : The Force Unleashed was made for the WII. What I didn't know was that the game was changed to accomodate the WII as far as the story line was concerned because the WII does not have the graphical power that all of the other consoles have. If the game can be made for the WII, a low end graphics system, there is no reason why it cannot be made for the PC. This is ludicris and upsetting for this to take place. Other gaming companies have not only designed next gen games for the pc, but they have designed them for the console versions too. So for Lucas Arts to tell us PC users that they will not because of graphical and low end PC users does not make sense. They need to get their heads out of their butts and work on this game for all of the PC users out there.

its funny that the argument is "consoles are harder to crack, you need to purchase a mod chip"... you cant even BUY a modchip for an xbox360, why? because nobody is making any, why? because you don't need it, you just flash a different bios unto the DVD-ROM.

And once you cracked that console, you never have to crack individual games, you just copy them and run.

The consoles of today are just computers with DRM.

Ya know? By not developing this on PC, I'm thinking a few rebels, might just decide to port the x-box version to pc and make it available on torrent. Just to prove how wrong they are.

What a load of crap, if people want to run the game at full ball then they will upgrade (its always been like that with PC) we dont mind running it in less graphics (again its always been like that with PC)

ive got games from 10 years ago that i can only just run at full setting now (or recently), but thats why i love PC (you get an upgrade and ALL your games get a lift) can you play any 10 year old console games at HD resolutions... i dont think so

so yes bring it out and if it dont run well then ppl will upgrade (sooner or later) at least give us the option cause that just isnt fair.

PS nobody is buying this bullshit for why PC isnt getting some games lately, it isnt half obvious SONY, MICROSOFT, NINTENDO have gotten into the ear of the developer and organised some sort of monopoly where people are forced to buy their console
(which from what ive heard are struggling compared to previous gens)

shame on you guys for turning your back on your loyal fans (all this will do is lose you sales because PC users wont be forced into the console scene)

It doesn't cost $4000 to have a PC capable to play TFU, i built my computer from scrach and it cost me a little under $1000 and I could definently play TFU on it with over 100fps. What they should do is have it come out later on in the up coming year like what they r doing with Burnout Paradise, they waited about year & a half to put to PC version out because most PC's couldn't handle it, but now they can. Having TFU on my PC would rock! but it doesnt look like its going to happen anytime soon....

I wanted to pre-order the "force unleashed" from the website and for that I've visit it from time to time..., in vain. When a game worth its money..., "hell with it", I'll pay even 60 bucks, but I won't buy console for it.
Perhaps the reason for not releasing the game on Pc is either the piracy or the shares from selling gaming platforms. Who knows, maybe someone thought about one move to catch two birds :-)
I'm not buying it, I'll just move on...
One fan less...

I also agree with most of You^
The most annoying facts:

1. You are trying to do a game for as many people as possible... and how the hell u will do that by making this game NOT for PC ? We cant count every pc and console and say which is bigger market but.. hey... from all of my friends i know >1LESS< people buy them. According to my calculations the stupid PSP version of THFU cost same price like Sacred2 + Fable 2 + PURE ^^^ thats 3 really nice games against 1. [ in my country]

2. Insane for me is creating a game on PC and testing it ( and now.. tell me how do u tested ur game in the middle of creating it.... u tryed to run console-game-format on pC? no..... u tryed to burn blue-ray disc every 1hour to test is everything is right ?? ...no... you just clicked 1 little file with .exe extension and tested if that worked. The facts are.. they created this game on PCs, tested it on PC, compiled it for console (also on PC) and cut PC SW fans for having this game.... how nice of you :)

2b) And plz plz... dont tell us such things like we didnt have a pc version (according to section 2)... of course u can always say that u coded the game on 360, developed physX on Wii, compiled maps on ultra high resolution display of NDS, designed maps on ps3 using the analog pad and compile\record the game on blu-ray disc using ultra high performence Game boy Advance.
Paper accept every bull s*t but WE DO NOT!

3. U tell us that u doont wana a pc version becosue of the variety of hardware, that gamer can use. LOL. PS3, PS2, NDS, WII, PSP have all VERY DIFFERENT hardware, different gpu\cpu, different frequency, different file\compile types, different ways thoes consoles loads\runs the game. So u had to compile your game for so many consoles and so many hardware types ^

Mayby u forgotten that we, PC players have something like Microsomething Winwars etc. which will do everything for u and the hardware spec dont matter. If the DX, all drivers are properly installed, operating system\ Direct X do 95% work for you ^
Consoled do not have that ability, they do not have dx which handle all 3d\2d gfx commands dont matter the gfx card inserted.. so u had to compile the physx\gfx aspect in other way , for every type of console.
To sum up, all gfx\physx calculation done by the game are easier to compile, test, becouse of directX which is the same on all PC (of corse if the user isnt totaly... ... ...)

4. Now tell me how the hell... ps2 can run the game but pc for 4000$** cannot handle it ?

**pc for 4000$? Best intel core quatro x2, 2x cpu mainboard with crossfireX , 8 Gb Geil black dragon ddr3, 4x radeon HD4870x2, Creative xFi fatal1ty, 1500W power supply + 90 cans of beer for the money that left from 4000$)
--*--
The reasons they presented sounds to me like they want to justify their stupidness or lazyness hymmm... byt if they ported game for so many diferent consoles, they arent lazy .. they are just stupid.

Come on people! I can understand your anger at this bad placed joke (4000$ computer) but come on, TFU by no means any close in potential customer attractiveness to games like Crisis or other major brand, despite SW logo. It's pure marketing, they evaluated possible expenditure(time and money) and revenue of porting TFU on PC and decided that profits are not worth it. Just simple as that.

I think when they just started working on TFU they misjudged capability of PC to evolve in period of time they set to produce game. Or another possibility: major flaw in producing plans which forced them to finish game much later than it was supposed to be finished originaly. Something like this happens all the time with projects intent to produce some kind of "revolution". Just likre unique phisycs in TFU. In both cases we deal with major mistakes made porting TFU to PC not worth the expenses.

And what about "4000$ PC joke"? May be they are just repeating original several years old tesis that made them to forgo PC in advantage Wii, PS2 and PSP. Surely they are lot less expensive in terms of producing games for them.

OK, if they didn't want to release this on PC due to fears of piracy, dealing with extended testing for the variety of hardware, or some other honest answer, I'd be unhappy but satisfied with the answer. But this "it'd take a $4k computer to run it" is a complete cop out answer (as has been well said above). COP OUT! ABSOLUTE TOTAL COP OUT!!

I can take a bad answer as long as it's honest, but don't lie to my face.
