The Force Unleashed - Xbox 360 Multiplayer [Rumor]

Despite all of the denial from LucasArts about a multiplayer for the xBox360 or the Playstation 3, a little rumor has surfaced, proposing that their will be a patch released for the Xbox Live sometime next year.
I really couldn’t tell you if this were true or not but the source sounds pretty solid. I just can’t see why LucasArts would say that we weren’t getting multiplayer and piss a whole lot of people off and then turn around and release a multiplayer patch. That just seems to be on the silly side.
Anyway, from TheForce.net:
” Bothan Spy has come up big if what I’m about to pass along comes to fruition…
We have recently heard from LucasArts that there are no plans for multiplayer on the PS3 or the Xbox 360 versions of The Force Unleashed since it’s going to be availble on the Wii, PSP and DS. (See this post with our friends at EUCantina.net) Well, that might not be entirely true according to my source who is rather close to the TFU action. I can only go into so much detail to protect our Bothan Spy so feel free to take this as a rumor but if it turns out to be true, you heard it hear first! Per BS (gotta love the shorthand initials
Microsoft is currently working on a new patch for Xbox Live that is slated to come out sometime early next year.
The patch is none other than The Force Unleashed Multi-Player! Based on what has been seen of this “demo patch”, there are 45 players to choose from in multiple costumes and the EU is highly represented. Characters include Quinlan Vos, Mara Jade, Assaj Ventress, Jedi Leia, A’Sharad Hett, Qui-Gon, Cin Drallig, Darth Desolous, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Jedi Brute (from the ROTS game), Anakin, Yoda, Mace, Ben Kenobi, Luke, Vader Paplatine, characters from the Legacy series and more. Apparently there will be 3 patches total so who knows what else might be in store.
To say this could be great news is an understatement! Though multiplayer on the Wii should be fantastic, imagine the multiplayer with full use of the next-gen console capabilities, graphics and use of Euphoria and Digital Molecular Matter. Let’s not also forget the wide scope of Xbox Live in general. How many players will be able to battle it out at once while talking trash over the headphones?

Any chance of your Bothan spy looking into a PC version…you know seeing as LA are reneging on the “only the wii, PSP, and DS will have multi-player” promises, that and a whole bunch of people within the LA forums itself are pissed over the lack of a PC version, maybe Blackman can renege on his comment of “only five geeks on the internet have a PC capable of playing the game”, when that is blatantly a lie?

I read about a lot of people complaining about the lack of a PC version. I was one of them for a while.
Then I stopped to realize- I’d just six months ago spent $340 on a new video card for my system. That’s the same as buying an XBox 360. Any hardcore PC gamer, like myself, is bound to have 22+ inch display(s) and elite sound/ video/ mainboards. Gear isn’t cheap- even if you’re building your gaming rig yourself.
I love my XBox. In fact, I got it back in March when I read the first launch date for SW:FU was going to be in April.
Once upon a time PC gaming dominated the industry because the technology when compared to consoles was so much better. It was faster, cooler, and you could do all kinds of stuff on a computer that you couldn’t do with a console. Now they’re neck in neck. If you’ve not had a console in 5+ years, it’s time to check one out.
I think a multi-player patch would be great. I doubt however they could do FFA and Team Deathmatch type games, it would probably just be Dueling, which would be fun - perhaps a little like an upgraded version of the online dueling on Jedi Knight II for the PC?
However, I think if they were to bring out a patch; they should bring out one that fixes all the annoying bugs in the game like the “DEFAULT TEXT” objectives on the last level and the way enemies get stuck behind walls etc.

Well the game without MP really sucks , I wouldn’t buy it if I knew that it is SO short and doesn’t give the opportunity to play online, ( I was blinded with the name “star wars” so much that I hadn’t check the information about MP before.
I don’t recomend this game - waste of money for 2 day adventure
well i might have something to say maybe you should try playing it on harder dif or dif ending you probably nerd who plays a bloody ps3 game 15 hours a day its desingned to be long you noob
id like do add another thing if they ever do a multiplayer version make sure to include starkioller he rocks and all the force powers so you can upgrade to get more powers and custimize your own lightsaber or maybe a map maker to make special maps for multi along with games original maps
