Star Citizen, Wing Commander creator states PC held back by consoles “no one’s really pushing it”
“The energy of the modern PC when it comes to understanding heavy visual fidelity is excellent,” states Chris Roberts, boss-guy at Roberts Space Industries, the dev behind the approaching, greatly ambitious space game Star Citizen . “Basically I’m able to do items that a couple of years back you’d need to pre-render on work stations.” Even when Star Citizen is a few way off as being a fully working game, it’s already proof that current high-finish tech is capable of doing a lot more than is frequently requested from it
