20 Things Star Wars Fans Have to Look Forward To…
September 25, 2007
The official StarWarsblog.com has posted a link to WizardWorld.com who recently posted a blog entry on the top 20 things Star Wars fans have ot look forward to in the future.
Can anyone guess what number 1 is? The Force Unleashed game of course! That’s not a real big surprise. Coming in second place is The Force Unleashed toys! I have to admit that is pretty accurate because The Force Unleashed is the biggest Star Wars thing i’m looking forward to. My second would have to be the animated Clone Wars Series!
Star Wars marked its 30th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, there was a lot of wistful looking back going on. However, the future holds much more for the galaxy far, far away. With brand new video games, TV shows, comics, toys and even films, the franchise you grew up with is still going strong. ToyFare takes a look at what’s in store for Star Wars fans in the coming months, including the upcoming CGI cartoon, the Force Unleashed video game, Gentle Giant’s Animated Han Solo Maquette and 17 other Star Wars-related things we just can’t wait for!

Sneak Peek at “Family Guy: Blue Harvest”…
September 22, 2007
StarWars.com has posted some “Sneak peak” videos of the upcoming Family Guy Blue Harvest episode. Family Guy is probably one of my favorite shows nowadays and i’ve been dying to see this episode.. it looks like it’s going to be definitely worth the wait.
In the upcoming Star Wars tribute called “Family Guy: Blue Harvest,” fans will see their favorite characters played by the somewhat snarky cast of “Family Guy,” including Peter Griffin as Han Solo, Lois as Princess Leia, Stewie as Darth Vader, Brian as Chewbacca, Chris as Luke Skywalker. Cleveland as R2-D2, Quagmire as C-3PO, and Herbert as old Obi-Wan Kenobi, among others.
Dominic Polcino, the director of “Family Guy: Blue Harvest,” thinks fans will get a special kick out of seeing a pint-sized Sith Lord. “Stewie playing Darth Vader is a delight — it’s great to see all that evil boil down into one tiny little character,” Polcino laughs. “That’s going to be a lot of fun for fans to see.”
Below, we proudly present a promo clip and sneak peeks at the one-hour special “Family Guy: Blue Harvest” airing on FOX on Sept. 23, 2007.

Another Lightsabers Coming to Wii rumor? Maybe not…
September 12, 2007
So yeah… a few months ago, there were rumors going around that we would be getting a action based, Wii-mote, fully functional Star Wars game. A few days later that rumor was quickly dismissed. Well the rumors are back and it looks like Lucas Arts has mentioned that we may be getting what we’ve been desperately crying out for! Check out this article courtesy of Gameplayer.com.au
The ultimate geek-fantasy of using the Wii-mote as a lightsaber in a Star Wars game could be closer than we think if the latest comments to surface from Activision’s Activate Asia Pacific conference are to be believed. During a demonstration of its upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Wii, LucasArts’ Mark Montuya commented today that the game’s motion-sensitive lightsaber action is “just a taster” for a future release involving motion-sensitive lightsaber combat.
Joy!
The statement implies that LucasArts is already hard at work on what Star Wars fanatics have been crying out for since seeing the Wii’s motion-sensitive controls for the first time: a game involving lightsabers. Heck, the Wii-mote even looks a little like a lightsaber, albeit a clunky Yoda-sized one.
Montuya wouldn’t elaborate any further on how it would work in-game, nor address the obvious question of how to portray lightsabers impacting against each other with the interface; but we’re happy just knowing that somehow, at some stage, it’s going to happen.
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is due for release on Wii, as well as the DS, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, on November 7
