1. Be respectful of others at all times.

The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting.

2. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post which is long-winded, redundant and filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the website, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

3. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community and will not be tolerated.

4. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.

5. No posting of personal information.

Please respect the privacy of other pool players and do not give out information such as phone numbers and addresses. (unless strict permission is authorized)

6. Moderators.

Moderators regulate the forum and make sure topics are in the right place. They also can lock/delete topics at their own discretion. A Moderator can also report disruptive and rude behavior to an Administrator. A Mods decision is final.

7. Warnings and bannings.

Warnings and bans are not to be discussed on the forum.
Such matters shall remain private between the admins and the user. Questions or comments concerning warnings and bans will be conveyed through e-mail or private messaging. Likewise, discussions regarding moderator actions are not permitted on the forum. If you have questions regarding a post or thread, please contact a mod or admin.

8. Warnings and bannings continued.

Immediate banning from the forum can result from any of the following:
The posting of pornography; discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.

9. Spamming and bumping are prohibited.

Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same text again and again or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Posts of this nature are not conducive to community and are unwelcome.

10. Redundant threads will be deleted.

As a courtesy to others before beginning a new thread, please look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly and many good ideas may be lost. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.

11. Impersonating.

Impersonating another forum member, moderator, administrator is strictly prohibited.
You are expressly forbidden from impersonating anyone else, including those named above, on the forum, even in jest.

This will result in immediate deletion & banning.

12. Advertising & Links.
You may not post advertisements in the forum. If you have a link and want it added, please do so in the links area on the main site, or send it to me and I will add it for you.

13. Profanity.

Profanity is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Swearing will result in a warning first followed by a banning if continued.

I will be starting to enforce these rules a little more. I think i've been pretty leaniant so far, but i'm starting to get complaints. I've been in contacted by a former member that used to post here, and does not anymore due to a couple profanity posts. Normal I don't mind a little profanity but this is a 13+ forum designed for adults and minors. So from now on profanity will not be tolerated at all.

You will be warned, the post containing the profanity will be deleted and the thread will be locked.

As for the one post/non-useful posts.

This can be acceptable to a certain degree.

#1 This will be tolerated only in the RPG forums [to a degree - if this gets abused, there will be consequences] but unless drastic, it is acceptable.

#2 This will be no longer tolerated in any of the other forums. Again you will be warned once. If there is another warning, you may be banned for a short duration. Any further warnings will result in permanent IP banning.

The last thing is, please don't bug me about stuff. You have to realize that I have other things to do besides this site. I try to make this site/forum my top priortity, but I am a college student and I do have to pay the bills. I can't always make time to add stuff or do modifications.

I'm sorry if i've come across as a hardass but we have to try to satisify all members, young and old.

I don't think there is too much of a need to enforce these. It's a pretty good site and almost everyone obeys the rules. Well done.

I think its good that the rules are being more strictly enforced because I dopn't like seeing the pointless posts, but I do agree that most of the time the rules are always obeyed and I would'nt say that theres any abusing or deleberiatly tring to irriate people (unless you count the console war topic).

Yeah, I agree. I'm not pointing at anyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that there are rules and they have to be followed.

I am quite serious about the swearing though, I don't want to lose any more members.

I really don't care what goes on in the RPG forums though because they are both passworded, if someone doesn't like what goes on in there then they don't have to be in there.

I noticed some posters use **** instead of swear words, is that not allowed?

That was me editing out their posts. I'd rather not see it.
