Force Unleashed Wii Developer Walkthrough + The Force Unleashed Launch Party
September 5, 2008
Gamespot has posted the Wii version of the developer walkthrough for The Force Unleashed. The Wii version looks pretty cool to and I am rather excited to test out the multiplayer mode.
LucasArts will be kicking of The Force Unleashed release with a party. Sounds like it should be a pretty cool time. Too bad they wouldn’t give out some free copies, but it’s not a total let down, you’ll be able to score some time playing the full version before it’s release.
“SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Sept. 5, 2008 — LucasArts, Sony Computer Entertainment America and Best Buy will commemorate the release of the upcoming videogame Star Wars: The Force Unleashed with an exclusive launch party, offering eager gamers a chance to celebrate the Saga and get their hands on the first copies of the game. The party, which will be held at the Best Buy store at 1717 Harrison St. in San Francisco on Monday, Sept. 15, will run from 7pm until midnight and will feature appearances by several very special guests, including:
Sam Witwer, who plays Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice in the game and who also joined the cast of The CW’s “Smallville” this season; Adrienne Wilkinson, who plays Maris Brood, a dark and mysterious Jed; and Cully Fredrickson, who plays Jedi Master Rahm Kota, a militant General who is the target of one of the Secret Apprentice’s early missions
Executive Producer Haden Blackman, Art Director Matt Omernick, Lead Engineer Cedrick Collomb, Lead Content Designer John Stafford, Lead Systems Designer Rich Davis, and dozens of other members of The Force Unleashed development team at LucasArts
In addition, attendees will get a chance to play the full version of the game in advance and be able to get their photo taken with some of their favorite Star Wars characters.
An entirely new chapter in the Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The game’s expansive story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist Vader in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi — and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.”
The Force Unleashed Achievements…
June 7, 2008
Courtsey of TheForce.net, MyGamerCard.net has posted a list of thing that you can achieve in The Force Unleashed.
The achievements include things like beating the game on a certain difficultly and things like killing a certain amount of guys with a certain power. Definitely interesting, head over to this link
I’ve noticed a lot of people saying as well, that The Force Unleashed isn’t on their top buying list. I’d imagine that this is due to the lack of multiplayer in the Playstation 3 and xBox. I really can’t say as I blame them though, I don’t know why they would put multiplayer on the Wii and not the other two, it seems rather silly to me. That’s almost as puzzling as not releasing The Force Unleashed for the PC.
It definitely seems odd that they would not include these to big things, but who know what’s goes on behind the scenes at LucasArts. There is a rumor that there will be a multiplayer patch released for the consoles and that we can always have hope for. It’s still on my top list, but it will probably be awhile before i’ll be able to get it. Yup, it’s time to save up for and xBox.
Stupid no PC version!

The Force Unleashed – Xbox 360 Multiplayer [Rumor]
May 21, 2008
Despite all of the denial from LucasArts about a multiplayer for the xBox360 or the Playstation 3, a little rumor has surfaced, proposing that their will be a patch released for the Xbox Live sometime next year.
I really couldn’t tell you if this were true or not but the source sounds pretty solid. I just can’t see why LucasArts would say that we weren’t getting multiplayer and piss a whole lot of people off and then turn around and release a multiplayer patch. That just seems to be on the silly side.
Anyway, from TheForce.net:
” Bothan Spy has come up big if what I’m about to pass along comes to fruition…
We have recently heard from LucasArts that there are no plans for multiplayer on the PS3 or the Xbox 360 versions of The Force Unleashed since it’s going to be availble on the Wii, PSP and DS. (See this post with our friends at EUCantina.net) Well, that might not be entirely true according to my source who is rather close to the TFU action. I can only go into so much detail to protect our Bothan Spy so feel free to take this as a rumor but if it turns out to be true, you heard it hear first! Per BS (gotta love the shorthand initials
Microsoft is currently working on a new patch for Xbox Live that is slated to come out sometime early next year.
The patch is none other than The Force Unleashed Multi-Player! Based on what has been seen of this “demo patch”, there are 45 players to choose from in multiple costumes and the EU is highly represented. Characters include Quinlan Vos, Mara Jade, Assaj Ventress, Jedi Leia, A’Sharad Hett, Qui-Gon, Cin Drallig, Darth Desolous, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Jedi Brute (from the ROTS game), Anakin, Yoda, Mace, Ben Kenobi, Luke, Vader Paplatine, characters from the Legacy series and more. Apparently there will be 3 patches total so who knows what else might be in store.
To say this could be great news is an understatement! Though multiplayer on the Wii should be fantastic, imagine the multiplayer with full use of the next-gen console capabilities, graphics and use of Euphoria and Digital Molecular Matter. Let’s not also forget the wide scope of Xbox Live in general. How many players will be able to battle it out at once while talking trash over the headphones?
